MDR monitoring

Five elements. That is the entire model.

People generate support and training. Laptops and servers generate patching, monitoring and endpoint security, and they do not generate it at the same rate. Mail gets attacked on its own. Locations need a network that stands up. Pricing each separately means nobody subsidises anybody.

Per user, per month
$163

Everything human

Unlimited help desk, security awareness training and the strategy work. Charged for each person who needs support, so the number moves when your headcount moves. There is no cap and no tier to graduate into.

Per computer, per month
$19

Every managed endpoint

Patching, monitoring, the MDR agent, application control and encryption enforcement on every laptop and desktop. Two laptops cost what two laptops cost.

Per server, per month
$100

Servers, physical or virtual

Patching, monitoring, backup verification and hardening for the machines your business actually runs on. Counted per server, whether it sits in your rack or in a cloud tenancy.

Per mailbox, per month
$17

Mail, filtered and retained

Attachment quarantine, phishing defence, continuity and retention. Shared and former-staff mailboxes are counted too, because those are the ones that get attacked.

Per additional site, per month
$179

The network under it

Firewall management, segmentation, wireless and the documentation an auditor asks for. Your first location is included in the rate. Additional locations are charged per site, not per device on them.

The controls are in the rate, not quoted separately.

Iconium implements and operates the controls. Your auditor, your framework and your attestations stay yours. We run the stack and produce the evidence that makes them defensible.

  • Email security and quarantine
  • DNS and web content filtering
  • Application allow-listing
  • Multi-factor authentication and identity hardening
  • Dark web credential monitoring
  • Evidence collection for audits

The Iconium figure assumes 25 users, 25 computers, 25 mailboxes, two servers and one location. In-house figures assume salary, benefits, training and tooling for one generalist, who still cannot cover nights, holidays or a security incident alone. Break-fix costs move with whatever went wrong that month.

The honest part

The parts we bill separately.

Projects are scoped and priced in writing, and nobody touches one until you have approved the number. Hardware and third-party licensing pass through at cost plus a stated margin, itemised on the same invoice.

Everything in writing

Scope, rates and term are set out in the service agreement before anything starts, and nothing changes without your signature.

The same number monthly

Your invoice moves when your headcount moves, and you will see it coming.

Approved before started

Project work waits for your signature. No line items after the fact.

Told early if we are wrong

If your environment needs work before it can be supported properly, you hear that before you sign, not after.

What people push back on, answered.

How much does managed IT cost per user per month in Cleveland?

Iconium Networks publishes a list rate of $163 per user per month, plus $19 per managed computer, $100 per managed server and $17 per managed mailbox. A fully equipped seat, meaning one person with one computer and one mailbox, is $199 per month. Your first location is included, and additional sites are $179 each. That is list, not a quote.

Is there a minimum spend or a minimum number of seats?

No. There is no monthly minimum, no seat minimum and no tier to buy into. You are billed for the users, computers, servers, mailboxes and additional sites you actually have, and the total moves when those counts move.

Is there an onboarding or setup fee?

No. The handoff from your current provider, the documentation, the agent deployment and the initial security rollout are all covered by the monthly rate. If your environment needs remediation before it can be supported properly, that is a scoped project you see priced before you commit, and you approve it in writing first.

What does the first site being included actually mean?

Firewall management, segmentation, wireless and network documentation for your primary location are in the rate. If you run more than one office, each additional location is $179 per month, charged by site rather than by the number of devices in it.

Why charge per user, per computer and per server?

Because the work splits that way. People generate tickets and training. Laptops generate patching, monitoring and endpoint security. Servers generate considerably more of all three, which is why they carry their own rate rather than hiding inside an average. Blending everything into one number means somebody always overpays, usually the team with fewer devices per head.

Does the price go up every year?

There is no automatic escalator in the agreement. Rates move when the underlying cost of the security stack moves, and you hear it in a review with the reasoning, not as a line on next month's invoice.

Do you sell compliance?

No. Iconium implements and operates the technical controls a framework requires, and produces the evidence your auditor asks for. The attestation, the assessor and the policy decisions stay with you.

What happens if we shrink?

Your bill shrinks with you. Counts are trued up as people join or leave. You do not pay for seats nobody sits in, and we will not ask you to buy a bigger tier to keep the rate.

Rather have it in writing first?

Send the configuration you built above and we will come back with the rate in writing, before any call. Your details go to the Iconium team in Cleveland. No lists, no drip sequence.

The rate is on this page. The call is how it becomes yours.

Thirty minutes, an honest read on your environment, and the number in writing.
