Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing and contracts

Iconium publishes list rates: $163 per user per month, $19 per computer, $100 per server, $17 per mailbox, and $179 per additional location beyond the first. A fully equipped seat, meaning one person with one computer and one mailbox, is $199 a month. There is no minimum spend, no seat minimum and no setup fee. Full rates and a calculator are on the pricing page.

No. There is no seat minimum, no monthly minimum and no tier to buy into. You are billed for the users, computers, servers, mailboxes and locations you actually have, and the bill moves down as well as up when those counts change.

Iconium offers 12, 24 and 36 month terms. Scope, rates and term are set out in the service agreement before anything starts, and there is no automatic annual escalator built into it. Rates move only when the underlying cost of the security stack moves, and you hear the reasoning in a review rather than seeing it appear on an invoice.

Two things. Project work is scoped and priced in writing before anyone starts, and nothing begins without your approval. Hardware and third-party licensing pass through at cost plus a stated margin, itemized on the same invoice. There are no onboarding fees, per-ticket charges or automatic annual increases.

There is no floor. The comparison on the pricing page uses a 25-person business because that is the size where hiring internally starts to look like an option. At 25 people, Iconium runs about $5,175 a month against $7,000 to $10,500 for one mid-level Cleveland IT hire carrying benefits. Smaller businesses are billed the same way, just for fewer of each line item.

Getting started

Yes! Even the smallest businesses rely heavily on technology to operate efficiently. That makes professional IT support in Cleveland essential for preventing costly downtime, ensuring data security, and leveraging technology to drive your growth.

About a week. That covers documentation, deploying the monitoring and security agents, and the handoff from your existing provider. There is no onboarding or setup fee, because it is covered by the monthly rate. If your environment needs remediation work before it can be supported properly, that is scoped and priced separately, and you approve it in writing before anything starts.

100%. By resolving issues quickly, providing user training, and implementing tools that streamline workflows, outsourcing IT support to Iconium helps your team spend more time on valuable work and less time fighting with technology.

Yes. Co-managed arrangements are common. Your internal person keeps the work they want and Iconium takes the rest, typically the 24/7 monitoring, patching, security stack and coverage for holidays and illness that one person cannot carry alone. Where the line falls is written into the service agreement rather than left to work itself out.

You get a clean handoff. Sometimes a business outgrows a provider, gets acquired, or brings IT in-house, and none of that is a reason to make the exit difficult. Iconium does not withhold data, credentials, documentation or your intellectual property under any circumstances. The work is to hand your next provider an environment they can pick up without a gap in coverage.

Support and response

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern, remote and onsite. Managed detection and response monitors your environment 24/7, independently of support hours, so a threat at 2 AM is caught at 2 AM even though the help desk opens at 8.

Under two hours during business hours. That is a response commitment, not a voicemail box, and you get a person who can see your environment. Overnight and weekend threat detection runs continuously through managed detection and response, which is included in the monthly rate rather than sold as a separate tier.

Emergency support outside business hours is arranged on a per-contract basis, so whether it applies to you and what it costs is set out in your service agreement before you sign. Separately, managed detection and response monitors your environment 24/7 as part of the standard rate. Overnight threat detection is not an add-on and does not depend on an after-hours agreement.

A small team in Northeast Ohio that knows your environment, working from the Solon and Lorain offices. Not a national call center, and not a queue that routes to whoever happens to be free. The team is named on the About page.

Across Northeast Ohio, including Greater Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, and Cuyahoga, Lorain, Geauga and Ashtabula counties, from the Solon and Lorain offices. Onsite support is also available in Montgomery County, Texas and the surrounding Greater Houston area. Remote support handles everything that does not need hands on hardware, and someone comes out when remote will not do it. Onsite visits are included in the monthly rate rather than billed per trip. The full county list is on the service area page.

What we cover

Yes. Macs and Windows machines are both supported and both carry the same $19 per computer rate, covering patching, monitoring, the endpoint security agent and encryption enforcement. Remote support tools are available for both platforms.

Yes. As an experienced provider, we can support many industry-specific applications for law firms, accounting practices, and other professional services. We’ll work with your software vendors to ensure everything runs optimally.

Iconium’s IT support services can solve issues like slow networks, security breaches, software errors, and backup failures. We’ll also help with cloud migration, compliance readiness, preventative maintenance, and long-term IT strategy.

Security and compliance

An endpoint detection and response agent, patch management, DNS and web content filtering, application allow-listing, and encryption enforcement. Multi-factor authentication is configured on your identity platform rather than on the device. All of it is included in the per-computer and per-user rate rather than quoted as a separate security package.

No, and be wary of any provider who says they can. Iconium implements and operates the technical controls a framework requires, and produces the evidence your auditor asks for. Certification itself comes from the framework’s own process, whether that is HIPAA or CMMC. The attestation itself comes from an assessor, and the policy decisions stay with you. A provider who both operates your controls and certifies them has a conflict of interest.
